Opened in 2008, Church Key is now recognized by SF as an under-the-radar beer destination; an independently owned business, opened by a North Beach local, in the heart of historic Grant Street.
Providing an intimate and unpretentious atmosphere with 10 taps, 80-100 bottles, $2 samples delivered to you by snarky, informed, and attractive bar staff who are sharp enough to serve you something appealing to your taste buds. Never too crowded, but always hopping you’re guaranteed a good drink and a good time.
Church key doesn’t just supply an amazing selection of beers, but also hosts SF Weekly’s “Best Beer and Trivia” on Tuesday nights at 9pm and funk/soul/45 DJ Slopoke every Wednesday to help you make it through the horrible, horrible work week. Classy, quiet, cozy atmosphere that isn’t touristy with an upstairs lounge, melt in your mouth pork rinds for purchase, and awesome local art, what more could you want?
